LOV EU Academy
Boost your European reflex.
LOV2030 promotes cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue. We place the current European themes of diversity and inclusion, sustainability and digitisation at the centre of our operations. With ‘Human Nature’, we not only celebrate what unites us as Europeans, but we also want to look squarely at the common challenges that all cities and regions in Europe are facing: polarisation, the pressure on our democratic values and global climate change that forces us towards a socially just transition.
There is a need for capacity building in all things European. That is why we are setting up a LOV EU Academy together with former, future and candidate European Capitals of Culture (ECOCs) and experts on European topics and subsidies. Our aim is to strengthen the European reflex of (socio-)cultural organisations and cultural projects in Leuven and the region. The goal? To help organisations broaden their horizons, push boundaries and enrich their operations with input and experiences from other European countries. We are proud of the many impressive (cultural) practices in Leuven and the region and would like to put them in the European spotlight.
Europe can offer enormous added value to cultural organisations, both financially and in terms of content. We focus on strengthening the European dimension of projects. In this way, we stimulate cultural cooperation across borders and make the possibilities of European subsidies more accessible to local organisations. We offer tools, knowledge and guidance to organisations from East Brabant that want to broaden their horizons and actively participate in the European cultural landscape.
Within the LOV EU Academy, we organise sessions on European topics. During our inspiration day, we explain various European programmes and present example projects. This allows organisations to become acquainted with the possibilities that Europe offers and to gain inspiration for their own projects.
LOV also supports projects from the first bid book that want to further develop the European dimension. We help think about possible EU subsidies and how you can successfully apply for these subsidies as an organisation.
We are building a network of people in Leuven and the region who are interested in Europe. This network offers a platform for sharing knowledge, collaboration and the exchange of experiences, so that organisations can inspire and strengthen each other.
Do you have an organisation that has just discovered what Europe has to offer but you don't know where to start? Or does your organisation already have experience with European funding and would you like to share that information, exchange experiences and/or learn about other European programmes? Or are you and your organisation looking for additional financial support? We invite you to participate, strengthen your European ambitions and explore cultural cooperation across borders with us.
