Summer stage Olevodroom
The City of Leuven and LOV2030 are joining forces for a new edition of the Summer Stage at the Olevodroom. Through an open call, we invited artists, collectives and creative minds to submit their ideas. Together with local residents, we will select a surprising summer programme from all 130 entries.
Every Wednesday evening from 8 July to 2 September, we’ll once again be seeking out unexpected encounters between artists and their audiences. You’re very welcome!

Soiree Bechamel: this evening is curated by MUCHO, a new theatre collective in Leuven comprising six recent graduates from LUCA School of Arts: Ailie Ireland Dupont, Anissa Zahi, Lien Joosten, Barbara Revalk, Arjan Schepers and Tuur Van Boxem. MUCHO aims both to support other young artists and to launch its own artistic projects.
The programme already features a traditional Chinese classical dance.

LOVely Friend Events | Dance at Olevodroom
This summer, we’re once again welcoming our LOVely Friends, who will be turning the Olevodroom into one big open dance floor. With a varied programme for young and old, there’s something for everyone. From sultry salsa and elegant tango to swinging lindy hop and energetic groove fitness: both experienced dancers and curious beginners are welcome to join in, discover and, above all, enjoy themselves. Come along, join in the dancing and experience a summer full of rhythm, new encounters and fun with us.

About the Olevodroom
The Olevodroom was formerly a temporary project by 30CC on the Hertogensite in Leuven’s lower town, on the site of the former St Peter’s Hospital. It succeeded the Velodroom and developed into a unique open-air venue for culture, socialising and experimentation in the city.
As an initiative of 30CC, the Olevodroom presented a wide-ranging programme between 2021 and 2025 and played a key role in the site’s development into a future performing arts venue.
Now, 30CC is passing the baton to LOV2030 and the City of Leuven, who are jointly continuing the story with a new edition of the Zomerpodium. Through an open call and in collaboration with local residents, a surprising summer programme full of new connections is once again taking shape.
