LOV is the name and the mindset of Leuven's candidacy to become European Capital of Culture in 2030
In 2030, a Belgian city will be the cultural capital of Europe. Leuven and the region of East Brabant – Leuven & Beyond – are applying as LOV2030. Together with the entire region, we will break out of our bubbles and build radically new connections, against polarisation and against the climate crisis.

Leuven & Beyond won over the jury during the preselection with the bid book LOV2030 - HumanNature.
We will submit a new bid book in mid-July. In September the jury will visit our region and we'll defend our candidacy.
On the 24th of September, we'll find out which Belgian city will be named the European Capital of Culture 2030.
