Vacancy: Communications & Marketing Interns

LOV2030 brings together people, organisations and ideas to reflect on the future of Leuven and the East Brabant region. We believe that art and culture, drawing on the power of imagination, can contribute to a new vision of the future; one centred on a fair and sustainable way of living together. We want to involve young people and students more closely in this vision and are looking for enthusiastic interns to help make a difference.
What will you be doing?
As a Communications & Marketing intern, you’ll be given plenty of scope to take the initiative and let your creativity run wild on various projects.
A sample of possible tasks:
1/ Strategic input
- Taking a step back and contributing ideas on how LOV2030 positions itself.
- Identifying opportunities to reach new target groups, particularly young people and students.
- Helping to shape communication campaigns.
2/ Content creation
- Developing strong social media content (text, images, video, reels, etc.).
- Showcasing LOV2030’s stories and projects in an engaging way.
- Devise and create content for the website.
3/ Engaging young people and students
- Come up with your own project or campaign to get young people and students more involved with LOV2030.
- Develop the concept and help bring it to life.
- Explore new forms of participation and community building.
4/ Creative communication for the Summit of LOV
- Help devise and develop a communication plan for the annual Summit of LOV. In 2027, this will take place on 20 April in Diest.
- Develop creative formats that surprise, inspire and encourage visitors to interact.
- Devise and develop an original, communication-driven mini-performance or activation for the Summit.
Who are we looking for?
- You are studying communication, marketing, event management, journalism, media or a similar subject.
- You are creative and not afraid to come up with new ideas.
- You can think both strategically and practically.
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English and know how to convey a message in an engaging way.
- You have a good grasp of social media and digital communication.
- You can work independently and take the initiative, and know when it’s important to seek feedback.
- You’re curious about social issues and the future of cities and local authorities. You show an interest in art and culture.
