Meet our LOVers - Mathilde Nelissen
LOVers are our ambassadors. They strengthen the LOV story by helping to spread the LOV and to build a better Leuven & Beyond. No LOV 2030 without our LOVers!
Mathilde Nelissen is the coordinator of the tool library at MAAKbar, a shared space where you can freely experiment with all kinds of tools. With its tool library, repair hub, and textile lab, MAAKbar aims to promote sharing, repair, and reuse among all residents of Leuven. Together with other shared spaces that focus on circularity, sustainability, and experimentation, the tool library is located at Maakleerplek.
As a creative mind, Mathilde took on the challenge of designing a LOV bench for public space. She worked with reclaimed wood from the Materialenbank (Materials Reuse Bank), used the shared workshop of the tool library, and made use of the laser cutter at the High Tech Lab.
