LOVrun.

Culture brings people together, just like sport. We joined forces with Els Talloen (The Extra Mile), Imana Truyens (elite long-distance athlete), Hanne Claes (former athlete and Olympian) and Gilles Den Haese (entrepreneur and DJ Plezierboot) to create a radically new connection between sport and culture. The result? The LOVrun., a meeting place where exercise, culture and local trade take centre stage.

What is LOVrun?

The LOVrun is a social group run that brings together residents of Leuven and some of Belgium's top runners. The first edition took place on Sunday 30 March, when lots of sports enthusiasts took a break from their training in a fun way to prepare for the sporting highlight of the year: the European Running Championships 2025 in Leuven.

The power of LOV

180 runners flanked by cargo bikes loaded with music boxes blasting the sounds of the 10K60' running track. Jimmy Dewit (aka DJ Bobby Ewing) composed this unique music track at the request of the city of Leuven and LOV2030 to promote running in Leuven. 10K60' takes you on a 60-minute electronic trip, perfectly timed for anyone who wants to run 10 kilometres.

We joined forces with some fantastic local retailers who provided goodie bags full of fun surprises after the run. Each runner enjoyed a free coffee from Blanco coffee bar and received a LOV running shirt.
