Open Call: Kiruna 2029 - Sweden

The European Capitals of Culture (ECOC) regularly organise open calls for artists and (socio-)cultural organisations. This is a great opportunity to collaborate internationally and be part of one of Europe’s most ambitious cultural programmes.

Kiruna 2029 – Sweden

The Swedish Capital of Culture 2029 is seeking project proposals via two tracks:

  • Test an Idea – for those who wish to explore an idea in collaboration with Kiruna 2029. Deadline: 31 December
  • Artistic Project – for those who have a fully developed project proposal. Deadline: 30 September
  • Projects will be assessed on five criteria: connection and a sense of home (Homemaking), European collaboration (European Adventure), diversity of voices and perspectives (Perspectives), artistic innovation (Finding New Ways), and local roots and social impact (Power of Culture).
