Sing the City
Be amazed by the power of singing together.
During Sing the City, children will take over Sint-Donatuspark in Leuven with their voices. Don’t expect a classical concert, but rather a lively gathering centred on music, energy and togetherness.
Due to the heatwave, the event will take place in the Sint-Donatuspark.
Pupils from Leuven will perform the piece Aquaquoise, with lyrics by Maud Vanhauwaert and music by Mirjam De Wit. Conductor Tom Johnson of Zuidgeluid and experienced teachers from the SLAC Conservatoire will provide the musical accompaniment.
Sing the City is an initiative of the SLAC Conservatoire in collaboration with Zuidgeluid, the City of Leuven and LOV2030. Together, they bring music beyond the walls of the academy, straight into the city. This gives even more children the chance to discover their voices.
Come along, listen and sing along. Let yourself be moved by thousands of voices coming together to make one city sing.
This project is part of LOV2030.
