Lecture: European preparedness in times of crisis by Hadja Lahbib
How can Europe better prepare for crises such as pandemics, natural disasters or geopolitical tensions? What role do emergency packages, cooperation and policy play in strengthening the European Union's preparedness?
On Thursday 4 December 2025, the KU Leuven Fund involvEU, together with Europa Direct Vlaams-Brabant, is organising an inspiring networking event. This year, we welcome none other than European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib, responsible for the policy on “Preparedness and Readiness”.
During her keynote speech (in English), Commissioner Lahbib will share her vision on European preparedness in times of crisis. She will delve deeper into the challenges and solutions her policy aims to address, from crisis management to international cooperation.
