Vitrien and Peace, LOV & Music: LOV2030 brings art where you least expect it

In its role as finalist for the European Capital of Culture 2030, LOV2030 gave the Dream Team 2030 the green light this summer. This resulted in two powerful and connecting projects: Peace, LOV & Music and Vitrien. Each initiative illustrates how culture can function as a driver for radical connection, which is the approach of the entire candidacy.

DJs and live music in the city park

On Thursday 11 September 2025, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the kiosk in the Stadspark in Leuven will be transformed into an atmospheric meeting place where music and nature take centre stage. Peace, LOV & Music offers a free and varied programme with DJ sets and live performances by Kleinefrigo, Bex and Fred Gata, among others.

This event is part of our Dream Team Projects, is a collaboration with Het Depot and an initiative of the representatives of Leuven & Beyond.

Bondgenotenlaan as an art gallery

Art appears where you least expect it: in shop windows, vacant buildings or even in a car park. In this way, the street itself becomes a gallery. Vitrien exhibits the work of 10 artists from Leuven and the East Brabant region in 10 display cases on Bondgenotenlaan in Leuven.

Vitrien is both a social project and an artistic experiment: exhibitions are combined with cocktails and moments of encounter. How can art create unexpected encounters? Vitrien invites wonder and connection, between strangers and between the viewer and the art.

Led by Dream Team members Judith Caeyers and Joseph Palframan, Vitrien creates a parcours in which art, urban space and everyday experience merge.

The vernissage on Saturday 13 September at Huis Delsart opens with performances, guided tours, music and cocktails. The exhibition runs until Saturday 4 October.

The power of Dreamteam 2030

The Dream Team 2030, consisting of thirty enthusiastic bridge builders from Leuven and the East Brabant region, believes that culture is the key to an innovative, inclusive and just society. With imagination and daring, they create new connections and take concrete steps to realise dreams. They actively contribute to the programming, open calls and bid book of LOV2030 and incorporate their visions into every initiative.
