Fabocratie – democracy as a fable?
In Fabocratie, creator Lieve Matthijs takes a critical look at the concept of “democracy”. Is it a living ideal or a fable that we collectively continue to believe in? Because only by recognising the fables can we build a real, inclusive democracy.
In our society, we see increasing divisiveness. Democracy is struggling throughout Europe. We see divisions not only between people, but also between people and nature, city and countryside, science and populism, conservative and progressive, local and global.
Living together in harmony
We want to find a way to live together well. Not only with each other, but also with the nature around us. We want to do this in a social, environmentally friendly, economical and fair way.
With LOV2030, we are trying to find an answer to this question. Democracy is not just a word for us. We think about what democracy really means. We ask ourselves who is involved and who might be forgotten. We challenge ourselves and others to think carefully about this.
